🗓 COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Hello hello, dear teacher-learners! I'm all thrilled to announce a new long-term Language+Methodology course, yayyy! This year, we will be particularly focusing on:

• building community and collaborating with peers (so that you always have someone to resort to or give vent to your emotions:)
• horning our language skills using authentic materials, tons of revision and cognitively challenging tasks;
• elevating your teaching with fresh ELT ideas, practical strategies, and time-saving tips.

🗓 COURSE DURATION: September 2024 / January 2025 - mid June 2025. You can join some of the groups available from January, 2025.

💳 PRICING: 8000 rub / a month (4 language lessons + 3 additional classes - Speaking/Methodology/Pronunciation) You'll need to make a full prepayment (8000 rub) to book your place in a group after the interview.** There are no refunds available if you miss a class, but you'll get a lesson recording and all the materials needed🤞🏻

COURSE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

✍🏻 GOAL 1 to improve learners' English language command

• develop high-order thinking skills;
• enrich vocabulary and grammar (with a particular emphasis on emergent language, revision, and progress tests);
• focus on authentic and topic-based reading and listening;
• promote noticing of language learned in class throughout other contexts.
• boost writing and speaking skills through relevant, meaningful tasks.

• reduce trainees lesson preparation time;
• discover new ELT ideas;
• foster a supportive environment for sharing and seeking help of colleagues.

COURSE CONTENT

My teaching style is mostly eclectic, meaning I use various approaches (such as Communicative approach, Lexical approach, Dogme, Task-based learning, Flipped Classroom) depending on the lesson aim & students needs. We will also place a particular emphasis on revision and emergent language both ****in and outside the classroom. | The primary aim of these sessions is to provide a safe and confidential environment where you can openly express your feelings and challenges.

Teaching can be immensely rewarding, but it also comes with its fair share of frustrations—whether it's dealing with difficult students, navigating institutional constraints, or managing the daily pressures of the job. We'll meet every third Wednesday swap advice to and support each other—all while practicing English💛 | Masterminds are 120 min methodology sessions we'll have every forth Saturday.

Masterminds' main objectives are:

• to discover renewed ELT ideas;
• to implement theory in a real classroom;
• to reduce your lesson prep time by analysing activities we encounter along the course;
• talk about nuances & figure out issues in a supportive environment.

We will negotiate mastermind topics relying on your current work settings. **** |
